Today I had a great time fishing with the Walbie family. I picked them up in Fort Myers at the Punta Rassa boat ramp. We got our game plan together and decided to look for redfish and big trout! We fished near Sanibel Island and Captiva Island, Florida.

We started out landing a few sheepshead and ladyfish – then THE BITE TURNED ON.

We were catching big trout (24″+) and big sheepshead – with a ladyfish thrown into the mix to keep everything exciting. We had a hard time finding redfish the first part of the trip so we moved to Pine Island, and within 10 minutes — BAM! We were snagging redfish!
