Redfish Gallery

Redfish have grayish, irridescent sides which shade to a copperish-red toward the back. As the fish grows larger, it becomes red all over. One or more black spots at base of tail. Good food fish.

The snook is a saltwater tackle-buster of top rank. Takes to artificial bait with a vim, which endears it to all sportsmen. Pefers anything that moves on top water. Weight, up to 40 lbs. in Florida.

The Speckled Sea Trout is the mainstay of all southern coastal fishing, it is important both as a sport and commercial catch. Excellent fish for the table, lean and easily scaled and filleted. It should be eaten soon after being caught.

Tarpon, Crevalle Jack, Cobia, Ladyfish, Drum, Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, Snapper and Shark are also available in our waters.

Manatees, sea otters, wild boar, Florida panters, many varieties of egrets, herons, pelicans, ibis and perhaps catch a glimpse of a shy roseate spoonbill or the endangered wood stork.
